Spectoplex 50 (W.S.P)

Composition :

Each 100 gm contain :

Spectinomycin dihydrochloride pentahydrate 74.5 gm.

(Equiv. to 50 gm Spectinomycin base )

Indications:

Poultry :

It's used in the treatment of CRD associated with Mycoplasma gallisepticum and Infectious synovitis associated with Mycoplasma synoviae .
Treatment of fowl Cholera caused by Pasteruella also Salmoella and Ecolibacillosis infections.

Turkeys

It's used in the treatment of Sinusitis, Infectious synovitis and Infectious enteritis.

Administration:

Oral route in drinking water.

Dosage:

Poultry & turkeys:

40 gm of the product per 1000 kg B.wt
(eq. to 0.5 gm /litre o drinking water)(eq. to 20 mg spectinomycin base/ kg B.wt)
dissolved in fresh drinking water once daily for 3-5 days.

Withdrawal time:

Stop treatment for 5 days before slaughtering.

Precautions:

Not used in layers.

Contraindication:

Combination with lincomycin may reduce the activity of the drug againest mycoplosma.
Don't administer with aminoglycosides.

Side effects:

None in the recommended dose.
Large dose for long time may produce nephrotoxicity.

Store in cool, dry and dark place at 25°C.
